1260 Housing Development Corporation (1260 HDC), a Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was created in 1988 to provide decent, safe, and affordable permanent independent housing to low-income persons limited by behavioral health issues. Currently, 1260 HDC houses more than 2,491 individuals, including
1,166 consumers (1,238 of whom were formerly homeless) in over 1,612 owned or leased units in almost every community in the City of Philadelphia.
In order to meet the demand for special needs housing over the years, 1260 HDC owns, or controls 262 buildings containing 1,209 units in Philadelphia, and master leases another 403 units. To date, 1260 HDC has been awarded
92 grants totaling $109,372,704.
